Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the expansion of its existing footprint in Australia with the signing of PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne.

Opening in April 2021, the new hotel will be part of M-City Monash, Melbourne’s largest mixed-used development dubbed a ‘mini city’, which serves as the gateway to Melbourne’s South East Growth Corridor.

PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne will be conveniently situated in the heart of one of Melbourne’s key education, medicine, research and science precincts, and is also within close proximity to Monash University’s Clayton Campus, the Monash Medical Centre and the CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation). As part of the M-City development, owned and developed by the Schiavello Group, guests will also have access to more than 60 retailers and shops, including a cinema, supermarket, dining establishments and specialty stores.

Embracing the evolving lifestyle trend of live-work-play, PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne will offer a community-based living concept, with a natural day-lit restaurant and bar complementing the adjacent meeting space, serving as a desired ‘third place’ for guests in the midst of this new social hub.

Each of the property’s 250 well-appointed rooms and suites will provide a clear connection to local culture, with the fit out and décor encompassing earthy textures and tones reminiscent of the Australian landscape. Guests seeking wellness experiences or simply a little ‘R and R’, will be able to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool surrounded by landscaped gardens, as well as a 24-hour fitness centre, managed by Snap Fitness, one of the world’s premier gym operators. Plus, the hotel also features a range of meeting and event spaces, including a 375sqm ballroom seating up to 210 people, making it the ideal venue for everything from business meetings and seminars to corporate dinners and weddings.

Says Peter Schiavello, Managing Director of Schiavello Group, “M-City is set to become one of the most significant new precincts in Victoria. This $800 million development is a vibrant miniature city in itself, delivering premium office, residential, retail, entertainment and hotel accommodation. We are excited to partner with Pan Pacific Hotels Group and are assured that they will bring the right expertise in hospitality with great synergy to the project.”
